Who I Am

I find satisfaction in uncovering patterns within datasets. My journey into data science began during my mechanical engineering degree, where I discovered the efficiency of problem-solving through programming during computer science courses. This realization ignited my passion for data science. Subsequently, during my master's program, I developed ETL processes and code to analyze COVID hospitalizations spanning from 2019 to 2023. My expertise expanded further when I crafted an application capable of extracting data from APIs and leveraging statistical attributes such as Poisson's ratio and normal distribution to predict outcomes in professional soccer matches. Through Python programming, I aimed to gain a competitive edge against corporate odds setters in the realm of sports betting. Presently, I serve as a data engineer for SDG, engaged in a project collaborating with Roche. This project focuses on building a database in Snowflake using the AWS S3 infrastructure to finally move data to a tableau dashboard. Being bilingual and having a penchant for global exploration, I aspire to secure an international role. In doing so, I aim to not only contribute my expertise as a data scientist but also infuse projects with my diverse experiences and global perspectives.

Hobbies

Outside of work, I love embracing new experiences and staying active. Whether it's hanging out with friends, trying new activities, or playing tennis, soccer, or padel, I'm always looking for ways to connect and move. I'm also passionate about exploring the world, having already visited 18 countries with many more on my list! Taking classes for new things is another joy, as it constantly reminds me that there's so much more to life beyond a screen. These hobbies are my perfect way to de-stress and recharge.
